Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aamin Haidar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aoshi Shinomori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haidar kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is target=blank>drop the world. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aamin Haidar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aoshi Shinomori! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Haidar shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Shinomori as he jumps to the side. Haidar shoots in for a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shinomori wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aamin Haidar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Haidar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shinomori's waist but Shinomori gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Haidar off to one side. Shinomori lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Haidar at a distance.

Shinomori scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Haidar is breathing heavily. Shinomori tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Haidar regains half guard there - taking advantage of Shinomori's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Haidar could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Shinomori throws a strike but Haidar avoids it easily and moves to full guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Haidar wants to sweep but no luck. Shinomori postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shinomori landing some decent shots from guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Shinomori accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Shinomori wants to control from the top but Haidar keeps moving. Shinomori content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Shinomori stands up over Haidar, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shinomori lands a couple of decent looking shots. Shinomori trying to control the position from guard on top but Haidar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Shinomori with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Shinomori scoring with punches to the head and body. Shinomori landing with the ground and pound. Haidar trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shinomori postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Shinomori is working Haidar over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Shinomori loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Haidar looking to control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Haidar working a defensive guard here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Shinomori postures up and lands a big shot to Haidar's brow. Shinomori scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Shinomori's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Shinomori with a flurry of punches that miss. Shinomori scoring with punches to the head and body. Shinomori content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Haidar working a defensive guard but Shinomori passes into half guard.

Aoshi Shinomori dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
A left and a right from Shinomori both land. Nice combination. Shinomori thuds his right hand into Haidar's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Haidar fails with the takedown and Shinomori counters with a series of strikes. Haidar will be more careful next time no doubt. Nice body punch from Shinomori. Shinomori lands with a right hand. Haidar gets the takedown into side control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shinomori can do anything to dispel that myth. Shinomori keeps Haidar under control for a moment. Shinomori is looking to regain half guard here but Haidar keeps moving and retains side control. Haidar wants to control but Shinomori is keeping him busy. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Both fighters take a look at the clock.
That's one minute gone in the round. Haidar is trying to get an arm triangle but Shinomori is defending well. Shinomori is looking to reverse the position. Haidar is looking to take a break and control but Shinomori is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Shinomori really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Haidar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Shinomori lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Haidar backs up against the cage.
Shinomori digs a good body shot into Haidar's ribs. Haidar doesn't succeed with the takedown and Shinomori counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Shinomori misses with a jab, cross combination.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice sprawl there from Shinomori as Haidar shoots in. Shinomori lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Haidar at a distance.

Horrible takedown by Haidar or perhaps it was just good defense by Shinomori which made him look bad. Shinomori shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Shinomori showed some decent athleticism there. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Shinomori is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aoshi Shinomori showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Shinomori lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Shinomori has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Haidar is trying desperately to improve position. Shinomori fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Haidar taking shots to the head. Shinomori looking to control but Haidar is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Shinomori with good strikes from the mount here! Haidar tries to hold on but Shinomori postures up. Haidar is looking to improve his position but Shinomori isn't that keen on the idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Shinomori postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Haidar looks a forlorn figure.
Haidar tries to hold on but Shinomori pushes him away. Haidar is trying desperately to improve position. Shinomori lands a big elbow. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Shinomori cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Haidar taking shots to the head. Aoshi Shinomori is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Haidar might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Haidar is bucking up trying to escape but Shinomori cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Aoshi Shinomori comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Shinomori has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
