Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tony Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Hope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramirez comes to the cage accompanied by Disposable Heroes. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramirez shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Ramirez postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Hope to stand up. Ramirez shoots in and bounces Hope off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Hope controls Ramirez momentarily but Ramirez frees himself. Hope is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Ramirez looking to pass the guard. Hope is trying to control the position but Ramirez postures up. Ramirez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Ramirez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramirez throws a big right hand that misses. Hope will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hope connects with a looping right hand.
Ramirez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hope shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ramirez as he avoids it easily. Ramirez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hope swivels and escapes. Ramirez is breathing heavily. Ramirez takes a swing at Hope's ribcage but misses. Ramirez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hope swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hope throws a half hearted mid kick. An inside leg kick from Hope misses. Hope wants to clinch. Ramirez closes the distance and pushes Hope back into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ramirez prevents a takedown attempt there.
Hope fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Tony Ramirez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Hope. Ramirez is trying to trip Hope. He has hold of a leg but Hope is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ramirez persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Hope controls Ramirez momentarily but Ramirez frees himself. Hope working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ramirez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ramirez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hope really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ramirez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ramirez stands up from guard. Let's bang! Ramirez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hope sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ramirez somewhat. Ramirez avoids the head kick by Hope.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramirez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Ramirez thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Hope is trying to get back to full guard. Ramirez thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Hope has hold of Ramirez's hands but Ramirez slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Ramirez stands up and beckons Hope to join him on the feet. Hope throws a half hearted mid kick. Ramirez tries to free his leg and advance position but Hope is retaining full guard. Hope looking for a sweep. Not yet Hope, not yet. Ramirez throwing strikes but missing. Hope is working an open guard so Ramirez takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Hope misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Hope tries for a takedown but Ramirez circles away easily and Ramirez counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ramirez. Hope fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Ramirez shoots in but no luck this time. Hope throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ramirez. Ramirez fails with a takedown attempt. Ramirez looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Hope wants to get back to his feet but Ramirez is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Ramirez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ramirez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Ramirez looking to pass the guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hope is striking but Ramirez is not phased and passes to half guard. Hope wants to get back to his feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hope fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ramirez shoots in and bounces Hope off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Ramirez prevents Hope from getting back to his feet. Ramirez stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ramirez gets in close and instigates a clinch. Hope tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ramirez smiles and moves away.

Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hope uses from the top position. Hope postures up in Ramirez's guard and throws a big left but Ramirez blocks it. Hope sitting in guard, not really doing much. Ramirez pulls Hope in to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hope passes Ramirez's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Ramirez is controlling Hope's position as best he can from this difficult position. Hope is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Ramirez actively working from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hope tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ramirez knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Ramirez controlling the position for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ramirez moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Ramirez has his hands on Hope's head, controlling the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hope was covering up waiting for the punch and Ramirez finishes the takedown easily into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ramirez passes Hope's left leg - he's now in half guard. Ramirez thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hope looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ramirez moves into full mount! Hope won't be happy about that! Hope in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Tony Ramirez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ramirez thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Hope is looking to improve his position but Ramirez isn't that keen on the idea. Ramirez stands up from mount. Strange move. Tony Ramirez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hope shoots and misses and Ramirez counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hope! Tony Ramirez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Hope. Hope is looking to get to half guard. Ramirez fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Ramirez unloads with some shots from mount but Hope bucks and avoids them well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hope is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Hope keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Ramirez is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Hope can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Ramirez get's back to his feet. Hope wants to clinch up but Ramirez keeps it at a distance. Hope shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ramirez pinned against the cage. Ramirez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Tony Ramirez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hope darts in trying to clinch and Ramirez counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ramirez preventing the sweep. Hope is working an open guard so Ramirez takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Hope displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ramirez. Hope gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Hope can't keep his opponent in guard - Ramirez advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Hope is trying to control but can't.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ramirez thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Hope to regain full guard. Tony Ramirez is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Hope looking for a sweep. Not yet Hope, not yet. Bob Hope has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ramirez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hope's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Tony Ramirez showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ramirez, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
