Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Slerba Diggler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mort Moleman!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moleman leaves Diggler with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Diggler feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Moleman wants to stand but Diggler is controlling the position.
Diggler passes Moleman's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Diggler will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Diggler seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Moleman for as long as he can get away with.
Moleman is trying to stand up here but Diggler is controlling him well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moleman is looking for a sweep. Diggler is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Moleman lands a jab-cross combination.
Moleman lands a nice looking body shot.
Diggler throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Moleman's waist but Moleman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Diggler off to one side.

Diggler shoots in for a takedown but Moleman shows good takedown defense.

Moleman stuffs the takedown attempt from Diggler. Diggler gets slowly back to his feet.

Diggler walks into a jab.
Moleman throws a right and a left that both miss.
Diggler shoots in looking for a takedown. Moleman tries to sprawl out of it but Diggler keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Moleman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Diggler fails to land the takedown.
Moleman lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Moleman closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Moleman moves into range and clinches up with Diggler.
Diggler drops down looking for an ankle pick but Moleman pulls his leg out and moves away.
Moleman works over Diggler's head and body with a nice combination.
Diggler tries to score a power double leg takedown but Moleman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Diggler somewhat.
Diggler really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Moleman lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Diggler tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Moleman swivels and escapes.
Diggler is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Moleman.

Slerba Diggler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Moleman stalks Diggler and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Diggler's face. Diggler staggers backwards, shaken.
Diggler shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Moleman pinned against the cage. Moleman gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Moleman tries to bum rush Diggler with a series of wild strikes but Diggler uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Diggler closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Moleman did well to prevent Diggler getting side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Still in half guard, Diggler seems content to control.
Moleman is looking to escape.
Moleman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diggler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Diggler closes the distance and clinches up with Moleman, looking for a takedown. Diggler pushes Moleman against the cage but Moleman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Diggler changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Moleman tries to avoid it but Diggler manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Moleman to the ground. Moleman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Moleman lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Diggler backs up against the cage.
Diggler shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Moleman but Moleman pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Moleman moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Diggler bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Moleman wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Moleman throws a series of punches but Diggler avoids them all with ease.
Diggler shoots for a double leg takedown but Moleman sprawls well. He's pushed Diggler's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Oh but Diggler is tightening it up a little... Moleman has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Moleman reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Moleman taps out! nice BJJ there by Diggler!
