Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Palhares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Olli Hokkanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Luiz Palhares! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Olli Hokkanen! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hokkanen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Palhares. Palhares scores with a takedown into Hokkanen's guard. Palhares wants to control from the top but Hokkanen keeps moving. Palhares trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Palhares is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Palhares wants to control from the top but Hokkanen keeps moving. Hokkanen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Palhares. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Palhares pushing down on Hokkanen's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Palhares uses his free foot to push down on Hokkanen's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hokkanen. Hokkanen is trying to stand up. Palhares looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Palhares controlling his opponent. Palhares thowing shots but they're missing. Palhares controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Hokkanen tries to hold on but Palhares postures up. Palhares is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Hokkanen has managed to escape the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Palhares looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Hokkanen is squirming around, avoiding Palhares's attempts to control the action. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hokkanen defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Palhares. Hokkanen misses with a double jab.
Palhares fails to land the takedown. Palhares slips a jab and a cross from Hokkanen.
Hokkanen shoots and misses so Palhares counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Hokkanen wants to stand but Palhares is controlling the position. Palhares throwing strikes from guard but Hokkanen blocks nicely. Hokkanen working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Palhares.
That's one minute gone in the round. Palhares forces his way into half guard. Hokkanen is breathing heavily. Palhares looks to land a strike but Hokkanen avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Palhares stands and throws Hokkanen's legs to the side, diving into side control. Palhares happy to just control the position for now. Hokkanen stops Palhares from passing to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Palhares is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hokkanen has escaped the position, nice work there. Palhares thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Palhares wants to take a breather but Hokkanen manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Palhares. Palhares wants to control from the top but Hokkanen keeps moving. Hokkanen is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Palhares is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Palhares postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Palhares lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hokkanen circles away quickly and effectively. Hokkanen takes a swing at Palhares's ribcage but misses. Hokkanen throws a big shot that misses. Hokkanen loads up on a big right hand but Palhares slips the punch. Palhares closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Palhares works his foot free and advances to mount. Hokkanen is squirming around, avoiding Palhares's attempts to control the action. Palhares has isolated one of Hokkanen's arms. Hokkanen looking to fight him off but Palhares twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
