Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Brian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kai Hartikainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jake Brian! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kai Hartikainen! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hartikainen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brian but Brian pushes him off and we're back to square one. Brian scores with the left hand. Hartikainen knows he should have avoided that one. Brian misses with a series of wild punches.

Hartikainen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brian circles away. Hartikainen shoots for a double leg takedown but Brian sprawls well. He's pushed Hartikainen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Jake Brian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kai Hartikainen. Brian swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Hartikainen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brian's waist but Brian gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hartikainen off to one side. Brian throws a nice looking combination but Hartikainen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Hartikainen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brian avoids it really well and circles away. Brian fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hartikainen sprawls well initially but Brian persists and gets the takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brian stands up out of the half guard. Brian throws a series of punches but Hartikainen avoids them all with ease. Brian misses with a wild combination.
Brian is breathing heavily. Hartikainen shoots in but no luck this time. Hartikainen showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Brian.

and Hartikainen counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Brian's guard now. Hartikainen postures up in Brian's guard and throws a big left but Brian blocks it. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hartikainen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brian is looking to stand up but Hartikainen isn't so interested in that idea. Hartikainen working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Hartikainen throwing strikes from guard but Brian blocks nicely. Brian wants to stand up but Hartikainen is controlling him. Hartikainen gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Hartikainen fails with a takedown attempt. Jake Brian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brian throws a right hand that Hartikainen ducks under and follows up with a left that Hartikainen also avoids with ease. Brian swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Hartikainen slips a jab and a cross from Brian.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hartikainen gets the takedown into side control. Hartikainen works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Brian manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Hartikainen desperately trying to maintain half guard. Brian wants to stand up but Hartikainen has a hold of him and won't allow it. Hartikainen tries to roll over but Brian keeps him under control. Brian postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Hartikainen to stand up. Hartikainen takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Hartikainen throws a series of punches but Brian avoids them all with ease. Brian throws a combination that misses and Hartikainen counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Brian's guard now. Brian pushes Hartikainen off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hartikainen staying out of range there. Brian throws a series of punches but Hartikainen moves out of range. Hartikainen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Brian will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Hartikainen drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hartikainen prevents Brian from getting back to his feet. Hartikainen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Brian keeping moving, preventing Hartikainen from controlling successfully. Brian pushes Hartikainen off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hartikainen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Brian throws a combination that misses and Hartikainen counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Brian! Hartikainen dominating with strikes here. Brian tries to reverse the position but Hartikainen maintains control. You get the feeling that Brian really doesn't like being in this position too much.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hartikainen cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hartikainen prevents Brian from getting the reversal. Brian somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet! Hartikainen shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hartikainen was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Hartikainen is in the full mount, landing strikes. Hartikainen cracks Brian with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Kai Hartikainen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Brian working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hartikainen. Brian bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hartikainen's guard. Brian throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hartikainen works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Brian wants to stand but Hartikainen has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Brian stands and steps away. Hartikainen gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Hartikainen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Brian fails to land with a series of punches.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hartikainen fails to land the takedown. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Brian looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Jake Brian has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kai Hartikainen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Brian throws a right hand that Hartikainen ducks under and follows up with a left that Hartikainen also avoids with ease.
And that's the end of the fight! Kai Hartikainen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Hartikainen winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
