Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nightmare Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donk Durgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kane is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nightmare Kane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Donk Durgan! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Durgan. Kane is breathing heavily. Durgan decides to take the fight back to the feet. Nightmare Kane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Durgan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Durgan advances to half guard. Durgan perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Durgan works his way into side control. Durgan decides to stand back up. Durgan steps back and let's Kane get back to his feet. Durgan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kane sprawls well initially but Durgan persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Durgan is taking a breather. Kane says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Durgan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Kane is trying to stand.
Kane could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Nice strikes from Durgan there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Durgan is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Durgan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Durgan works his foot free and advances to mount. Durgan jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kane manages to avoid the submission attempt. Kane being controlled for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kane is not content to let Durgan control the position. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Kane wants to get back to his feet but Durgan drags him back down. Kane takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. A lull in the action here. Durgan grinds an elbow into Kane's temple. Kane is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Durgan asserts his dominance and retains side control. Durgan landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Durgan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kane looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Kane is trying to get back to his feet. Durgan advances to mount. Durgan trying to control but Kane is having none of it. Kane tries to buck Durgan off but Durgan takes his back! Kane wants to get back to his feet. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kane trying to get back to his feet but Durgan is in full control for now. Kane knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Durgan on the ground. What can Kane do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Kane has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Durgan controls the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Durgan's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Donk Durgan dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Durgan tries to clinch up. Kane gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Durgan passes Kane's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Durgan is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Kane! Durgan takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kane is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Durgan has taken his back! You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

That's one minute gone in the round. Durgan is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Durgan gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Durgan gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Durgan apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Durgan takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Kane throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Durgan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Durgan prevents Kane from breaking the clinch. Durgan works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Durgan decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Durgan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kane avoids it really well and circles away. Kane throws a sloppy head kick and Durgan moves out of range easily. Durgan has closed the distance and engaged Kane in a clinch.
Kane is trying to break the clinch but Durgan is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Durgan manages to pull guard.
Kane with a flurry of punches that miss. Kane lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Durgan lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kane! Durgan tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Durgan won't let Kane get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. A nice elbow there by Durgan. Kane wants to try and get back to his feet. Durgan looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Kane is trying to stand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Durgan trying to control but Kane is having none of it. Donk Durgan has got the better of the ground game so far. Kane wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Durgan controlling from the full mount. Durgan throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Durgan wants to control the pace but Kane is squirming around nicely. Durgan throws some wild stikes that Kane manages to avoid easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Durgan tries to control but Kane wriggling away. Durgan won't let Kane get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Kane trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Durgan fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Kane's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Durgan looking to control but Kane is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Durgan scoring with strikes but Kane is staying in there. Durgan trying to control but Kane is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Donk Durgan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

It looks like Nightmare Kane has been cut. Durgan scores with a takedown into Kane's guard. Durgan gets to his feet - Kane follows without any prompting. Kane throws a head kick that misses and Durgan counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Durgan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kane does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kane tries to kick Durgan off but Durgan keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Durgan is looking for a kimura but Kane is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Durgan to get the leverage. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kane is looking to get back to is feet but Durgan passes into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kane tries to escape but Durgan is in control. Durgan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A head kick by Kane misses and Durgan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kane's guard. Durgan stands and throws Kane's legs to the side, diving into side control. Kane is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Durgan has just dragged him back down to the mat. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Kane is trying to buck Durgan off. Kane gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Kane is trying to stand but he's just given Durgan his back. Durgan is working the ground and pound. Can Kane escape?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kane covering up well under a series of strikes from Durgan. Nightmare Kane has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Durgan is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Kane up.

Kane is trying to stand back up. Durgan is persistently looking for the submission but Kane is defending it well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Durgan looking to break Kane's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Kane remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Durgan will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Kane is trying to stand back up. Durgan loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Kane hold on?
Durgan misses with a punch to the head. Durgan scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Kane is looking for a way out. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kane has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Donk Durgan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Durgan is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
And that's the end of the fight! Donk Durgan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Durgan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
