Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kris Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rolf Wesentlund (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wesentlund throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Burns's waist but Burns gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wesentlund off to one side.

Burns shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round but I would say that Kris Burns will probably get the nod.

Burns has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wesentlund can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Wesentlund has eaten all the pies!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Burns closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Burns passes into side control, despite Wesentlund's attempt to control the position.
Wesentlund is looking to reverse the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Burns will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
