Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zack Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyzekel Rage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zack Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Lyzekel Rage!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rage pinned against the cage. Rage gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rage fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Knight avoids it really well and circles away.
Knight throws a nice looking combination but Rage bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rage slips a straight right by Knight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Knight scores with a sloppy right hand. Rage should have avoided that one.
Knight throws the left hand but Rage avoids the punch easily.

Knight misses with a few strikes there.
Knight lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Knight moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Knight swats away the attempt to clinch by Rage.
Knight shoots in but Rage avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Knight lands a jab-cross combination.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Rage counters by clinching up.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zack Knight. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Knight tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rage just stands there and leans against the cage.
Rage throws a head punch that misses.
Rage wants a takedown.

Rage jumps guard and drags Knight to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Knight throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rage works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Knight is pushing down on Rage's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rage is fighting to maintain full guard but Knight has managed to sneak the leg through.
Knight trying to mount his opponent but Rage defends it.
Knight is breathing heavily.
Knight thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rage's head.

Knight wants to work for an arm triangle but Rage is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Rage controlling the position for now.
Rage is trying to stand.
Rage is looking for a sweep. Knight is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Rage is trying to stand.
Knight wants to take a breather but Rage is having none of it.
Knight has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Rage stalks Knight and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Knight's face. Knight staggers backwards, shaken.

Rage shoots in and drives through. Knight sprawls well.
Knight avoids a punch combination nicely.
Rage throws a right and a left that Knight avoids nicely.
Knight throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rage's waist but Rage gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Knight off to one side.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rage is looking to clinch but Knight is avoiding it.
Rage tries to clinch up but Knight circles away and keeps his distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zack Knight dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Rage gets a clinch.

Rage's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Knight gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Rage counters with a single leg into guard. Knight didn't expect that.
Rage really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Knight. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rage slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Knight looking to control.
Rage tries to free his leg and advance position but Knight is retaining full guard.
Knight is trying to hold Rage in close to prevent damage but Rage has managed to pass into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rage wants to free his trapped foot but Knight is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Well, if Rage is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Knight is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Rage content to control rather than advance.
Rage wants to stand but Knight has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Still in half guard, Rage seems content to control.
Knight is trying to maintain the position but Rage is very close to passing his half guard.

Knight looking for subs from the bottom but Rage mounts him!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rage looking to control and managing it successfully.
Rage prevents Knight from getting the reversal.
Rage tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Knight keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Rage controlling from the full mount.
Knight is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lyzekel Rage showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Knight keeps the fight on the outside.
Knight throws a leg kick
and Rage counters with an inside leg kick.
Rage throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rage lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!


It looks like Zack Knight has been cut.
Rage fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Rage shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Knight as he jumps to the side.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Rage shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Knight sprawls well. Knight wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rage gets slowly back to his feet.
Zack Knight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lyzekel Rage.
Rage closes the distance and lands a one-two.
The fighters circle momentarily. Rage darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Rage takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

and Knight counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rage won't be happy with that.

Rage is looking for a sweep.

Knight swings around for an armbar but Rage sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Knight's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rage gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Rage tries to clinch but Knight moves out of range.
Knight avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Rage clinches up against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Knight jumps guard but Rage stands there with Knight around his waist. Knight gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Rage lands a shoulder strike.
Knight takes an elbow to the forehead.
Knight jumps guard but Rage stands there with Knight around his waist. Knight gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Come on Rage - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Rage wants a takedown.

Rage manages to pull guard.

Rage pushes Knight off and gets back to his feet.
Knight tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Rage counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Knight has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rage can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Knight throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Rage escapes and throws Knight's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Knight is looking for a sweep.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that's the end of the fight!
Lyzekel Rage comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Rage has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
