Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Richard Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kross Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is ASAP. Kross Burns looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Richard Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kross Burns! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos slips a jab and a cross from Burns.
Santos misses with a head kick.
Santos shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Burns pinned against the cage. Burns gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Santos shoots in but Burns avoids the takedown attempt easily. Santos waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Burns. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Burns tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Santos throws a sloppy head kick and Burns moves out of range easily. The fight stays on the outside here - Burns looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A combination from Santos does no damage. Santos throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Burns's head. Burns leaves Santos with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richard Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him. Santos throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Burns counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Burns. Santos misses with an elbow over the top. Santos goes for a takedown in the clinch but Burns prevents it.
Burns is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Santos pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Santos tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Burns smiles and moves away.
Burns throws a left and a right that both miss
and Santos counters with a nice double leg into guard. Santos missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Santos working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Santos throws and elbow that misses. Burns uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Santos's guard. Nice move by Burns! Santos working a defensive guard here.
Santos uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Horrible takedown by Santos or perhaps it was just good defense by Burns which made him look bad.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos throws a combination that misses and Burns counters with a series of strikes. Santos will be more careful next time no doubt. Santos uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Burns.
Burns tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Santos defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Burns. Burns looks gassed! Santos fails with a takedown attempt. No joy there for Santos, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Santos. Santos darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Santos throws a strike but Burns avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Santos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Burns swivels though and keeps the full guard. Santos in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Richard Santos dominated that round. That's time! Santos's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Santos throws a series of punches but Burns moves out of range. Burns throws a series of strikes that have Santos backpedaling.
Burns closes the distance and clinches. Burns changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Santos fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Burns is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burns misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Burns takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Burns slips a jab from Santos. Santos tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Burns swivels and escapes. Burns thows a body shot but no joy. A right-left combo lands from Burns. Santos misses with a takedown attempt and Burns counters with a two punch combo. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richard Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him. That's two minutes gone in the round. Santos shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Santos tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Burns is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Santos. Burns swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Santos connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Burns throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Santos. Santos displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Burns. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Santos is defended easily by Burns.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos fails with an attempt to clinch.
Santos lands a lovely overhand right. Santos looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Burns is fending him off so far but Santos persists. Nope, Burns circles away and we're back to standing. Burns tries to bum rush Santos with a series of wild strikes but Santos uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Burns tries to close the distance and clinch but Santos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Santos leaves Burns with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Santos dives in and grabs Burns's left leg, looking for a takedown. Burns pushes down on Santos's head and hops out. A right-left combo lands from Santos. Santos shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Santos showed some decent athleticism there. Santos looks to land a strike but Burns avoids it nicely and regains full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kross Burns showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Santos tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Santos lands with a kick to the temple. Burns shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Santos fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Santos wants to clinch up but Burns keeps it at a distance. Burns closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Santos is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Burns pulls his head out easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Burns takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Burns takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Santos actively working from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Santos wants to get back to his feet. Santos trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Santos wants to get back to full guard but Burns has passed into side control. Burns takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Santos is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Santos wants to get back to his feet.
Burns looking to control and managing it successfully. Burns manages to capitalize on a mistake by Santos to take his back! Burns working for the choke. Santos trying to control the position but Burns manages to sink in the hooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burns working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Santos manages to reverse the position and now he's in Burns's guard. Nice work there by Santos.
Burns controls Santos momentarily but Santos frees himself. Santos drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Santos jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Santos working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Santos lands a couple of digs. Santos wants to control from the top but Burns keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Santos showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Burns.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Santos smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
And that's the end of the fight! Kross Burns comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Burns has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
