Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Skeeter Grabner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hatt Mughes!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mughes scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Grabner shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mughes but Mughes pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mughes misses with the combination.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mughes looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mughes tries to clinch there but Grabner circles away.
Mughes tries to clinch up.
Mughes looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Grabner looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mughes is fending him off so far but Grabner persists. Nope, Mughes circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Grabner shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Grabner showed some decent athleticism there.

Grabner is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Mughes can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Grabner fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Mughes has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Grabner can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Grabner lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Grabner pushes down on Mughes's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Mughes is looking to get back to full guard here but Grabner has managed to pass to side control instead.

Grabner changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mughes looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Mughes wants to improve his position but Grabner is controlling well.

Mughes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Grabner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Grabner is keen to just control but Mughes is a slippery customer.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Mughes lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Mughes tries to clinch but Grabner is having none of it.
Mughes keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Grabner shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Mughes fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Grabner, pushing him back against the cage.

Mughes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mughes fails with an attempt to clinch.
Grabner takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Grabner shoots in and bounces Mughes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Mughes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Mughes is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Grabner postures up.
Mughes wants to sweep here but Grabner controlling him for the moment.
Grabner stops Mughes from standing up.
Grabner is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Grabner shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mughes but Mughes pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Mughes throws a right and a left that Grabner avoids nicely.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Grabner connects with a nice short shot to Mughes's temple.

Mughes is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Mughes is trying to stand.
Mughes is trying to maintain the position but Grabner is very close to passing his half guard.
Grabner thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Grabner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Mughes landing rabbit punches to the side of Grabner's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points.
Mughes scores with a few weak punches.
Mughes works his way to full guard. Good work.
Mughes wants to hit a switch here but Grabner passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Mughes there!
Mughes tries to hold on but Grabner pushes him away.
Grabner content just to control the position here.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Grabner had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mughes is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Grabner Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mughes's back instead.
Grabner is riding his opponent, not letting Mughes buck him off.
Grabner doesn't have the hooks in and Mughes manages to turn into his guard.
Mughes working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Grabner is on top in guard.

Grabner lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Mughes hang on?
BOOM! Grabner connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Grabner content just to control the position here.
Grabner landing strikes, looking to finish!

Mughes defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Grabner.
Mughes wants to hold on but Grabner pushes him away.
Mughes working to try and regain half guard.

Grabner is working for a guillotine from mount but Mughes frees his head quite easily.

Grabner jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Mughes manages to avoid the submission attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
Skeeter Grabner showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Grabner, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
