The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gould scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Hayes takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Hayes moves into the clinch successfully.
Stalling in the clinch from Hayes.
Hayes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gould scores with a shot to the body.
Gould lands with a straight right. Hayes didn't see that one coming.
Hayes lands a jab-cross combination.
Gould just misses with a punch to the body.
Gould jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hayes shoots for a takedown but Gould saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hayes misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Hayes throws a low kick, looking for Gould's leg but Gould calmly moves out of range.
Hayes uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gould.
Gould moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Hayes takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Hayes wants to clinch up but Gould keeps it at a distance.
Gould lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Hayes is rocked!
Gould misses with a looping right.
Oh Hayes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gould thows a left - swing and a miss!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gould throws an overhand right that lands on Hayes's shoulder, as Hayes tries to avoid the shot.
Shane Gould seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hayes loses concentration momentarily and Gould pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Hayes crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Gould finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Shane Gould!
