The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Caveman moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Caveman missing with a left hand there. Patterson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Caveman misses with a jab, cross combination.
Caveman throws a nice looking combination but Patterson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Patterson takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Patterson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Caveman as he jumps to the side.
Patterson is looking to clinch but Caveman is avoiding it.
Caveman looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Caveman lands a big right hand that sends Patterson crashing to the mat! Caveman stays standing though and waves Patterson back to his feet!

It looks like Joe Patterson has been cut.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Patterson.
Patterson looks gassed!
Patterson walks straight into a right hand from Caveman - that's dropped him! Caveman jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Patterson from any more punishment! Patterson complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
