Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Hanz Stokenhizer!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn throws a head kick that misses.
Stokenhizer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Penn.
Some wild striking there from Stokenhizer.
Penn throws a wild body kick that Stokenhizer sees coming a mile off.
Penn throws a nice outside leg kick.
Stokenhizer throws a right and a left that Penn avoids nicely.
Stokenhizer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Penn goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
A head kick misses from Stokenhizer.
Penn dodges the punch combination from Stokenhizer.
Penn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stokenhizer as he jumps to the side.

Penn looks to land a body kick but Stokenhizer moved away.
Penn throws a sloppy head kick and Stokenhizer moves out of range easily.

Stokenhizer wants to get back to his feet but Penn is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Penn is stalling here. Stokenhizer is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Penn seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Stokenhizer has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The referee stands the fighters back up. BJ Penn just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Penn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hanz Stokenhizer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Penn throws a wild body kick that Stokenhizer sees coming a mile off.

Hanz Stokenhizer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stokenhizer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Penn circles away quickly and effectively.

Penn looks for the body kick but Stokenhizer saw that one coming.
Stokenhizer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Penn throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Stokenhizer was covering up waiting for the punch and Penn finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Penn is keen to just control but Stokenhizer is a slippery customer.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Stokenhizer's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Stokenhizer duly obliges.
Hanz Stokenhizer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Penn throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Stokenhizer scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Penn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Penn drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Penn jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Penn is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Penn tries to land a front kick but Stokenhizer steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Stokenhizer misses with a wild body shot.
Penn shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Stokenhizer defends it nicely.
Penn gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Stokenhizer.

Penn throws a low kick but Stokenhizer avoids it.
Stokenhizer tries to bum rush Penn with a series of wild strikes but Penn uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Penn closes the distance and clinches up with Stokenhizer, looking for a takedown. Penn pushes Stokenhizer against the cage but Stokenhizer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
No joy there for Stokenhizer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stokenhizer throws a series of punches but Penn avoids them all with ease.

Stokenhizer takes a swing at Penn's ribcage but misses.
Penn avoids a punch combination nicely.
Crunch! Penn slams his shin into Stokenhizer's torso.
Stokenhizer stuffs the takedown.

Stokenhizer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Penn is controlling him.

Penn postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Stokenhizer is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Penn, into his guard.

Penn working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stokenhizer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stokenhizer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Stokenhizer postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Hanz Stokenhizer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

BJ Penn is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Penn not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Stokenhizer would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

BJ Penn showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Penn, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
