Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nate Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and PJ Benn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nate Garcia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, PJ Benn! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Benn tries to keep at a distance but Garcia has taken the fight into the clinch. A body shot lands from Benn.
Benn manages to break the clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Garcia. Garcia looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Benn is fending him off so far but Garcia persists. Nope, Benn circles away and we're back to standing. A head kick misses from Benn. Benn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Benn pushes Garcia up against the cage in a clinch. Garcia wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A right handed body shot lands from Benn.
Benn wants to break free but Garcia has control.
A short left from Benn. Benn goes for a takedown attempt but Garcia pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Garcia takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Garcia misses with the combination.

That's one minute gone in the round. Benn looks to clinch and Garcia counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Benn looking for a guillotine here but Garcia defends easily.
Garcia will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Garcia is breathing heavily. Garcia stopping the sweep attempt from Benn. Garcia trying to control the position from guard on top but Benn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Garcia postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Benn wants to sweep here but Garcia controlling him for the moment. Garcia has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Benn manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Benn dominating with strikes here. Garcia tries to get back to half guard but can't. Benn working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. This has been an exciting period of action! Garcia is in all sorts of trouble here.
