Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aiden Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Esch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos comes to the cage accompanied by Oh Lets Do it by waka flocka flame. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aiden Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eric Esch! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Joseph Jones and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Esch scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Santos lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage. Esch seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Santos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Esch is trying to control the action in half guard but Santos is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Esch takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Despite being in the dominant position, Eric Esch just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Esch tries for a takedown but Santos sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Esch will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Santos misses with a takedown attempt and Esch counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Santos throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Esch really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Santos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Esch content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Santos on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Santos tries to get out of the position.

Well, if Esch is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's going to take a lot out of Eric Esch. Santos cracks Esch with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Santos is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Santos scores with a one two! Esch had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Esch shoots and misses letting Santos counter with a right hand. Santos closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Santos stands up and beckons Esch to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Esch misses with a takedown attempt and Santos counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Santos. Santos jumps guard and drags Esch to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Santos throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Esch sitting in guard, not really doing much. Santos striking off his back but it's not causing Esch any problems. Santos doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Esch slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Esch must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Santos striking from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Esch fails with the takedown and Santos cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A jab from Santos does it's job there. Esch shoots for a takedown but Santos saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Esch misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Santos lands with a hook. Esch tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Esch tries to bum rush Santos with a series of wild strikes but Santos uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Santos throws a combination. Esch tries to block but a couple of punches get through. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Esch's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Santos wants to get back to full guard. Esch has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Esch sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Santos is working to get back to half guard.
Esch controlling from mount. Esch wants to control the pace but Santos is squirming around nicely. Esch might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Santos kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Esch throws a combination that misses and Santos holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Esch gets underhooks to prevent Santos's takedown attempt.
Santos is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Esch pulls him back up using the underhooks. Esch looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Santos is trying to drag Esch to the mat but Esch just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aiden Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him. Santos is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Santos changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Esch fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Eric Esch showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Santos was covering up waiting for the punch and Esch finishes the takedown easily into guard. Santos trying to strike off his back.

He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Esch is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there. That's one minute gone in the round. Esch's corner is telling him to maintain position. Santos lands a decent punch to the body there. Santos looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Santos will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Esch fails with the takedown and Santos counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Santos. Esch wants to stand but Santos is controlling the position.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Aiden Santos. I think Esch has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
