Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Danilo Shadow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Danilo Shadow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shadow has a takedown stuffed.
Shadow fails in his attempt to clinch.
Shadow walks into a stiff left hand from Power.
Power tries to keep at a distance but Shadow has taken the fight into the clinch.
Power wants to stall.
Power tries to break the clinch but Shadow is controlling the position.
A looping hook to the body misses from Power. Shadow does a little dance to reset his feet.
Left hook, right uppercut from Shadow.
It looks like Rodrigo Power has been cut.
A punch lands to the side of Power 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Shadow tries to score a power double leg takedown but Power sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Shadow somewhat.
Power tries to clinch up
and Shadow counters with a takedown into side control.
Power is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shadow cracks Power with a big right hand but Power just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Power is still in real trouble! Can Shadow finish him?
Power really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shadow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Shadow is not going to allow Power to sit and survive in this position.
Shadow is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Power is defending well though. Shadow let's go of the attempt for now.

Shadow is trying to stick to Power's back but Power is turning into Shadow. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Shadow's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Power.

Power misses with a punch on the inside.
Power tries to break free but Shadow pushes him back against the cage.
Shadow is trying to stall.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Shadow as Power tries to tie him up.

Shadow really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Shadow jumps guard but Power stands there with Shadow around his waist. Shadow gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Power throws a combination. Shadow tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Shadow takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Power tries to break the clinch but Shadow is controlling the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Power keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Power has one foot on Shadow's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Danilo Shadow is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Power leaves Shadow with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Shadow misses with a takedown attempt - Power sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Shadow counters with a head kick. That will keep Power thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Shadow shoots for a double leg takedown but Power sprawls well. He's pushed Shadow's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Power fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Shadow avoids it really well and circles away.
No joy there for Power, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and Shadow counters by moving into the clinch.
Shadow with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Shadow is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Power gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Shadow, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
