Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Varan is looking to clinch but Cowell is avoiding it.
Cowell rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Varan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A big left from Varan misses.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Cowell trying to land knees to the body.
Varan is trying to break free.

Cowell pulls guard.
Varan throws a strike but Cowell rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Varan will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Cowell stops Varan from standing up.
Varan throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cowell trying to control the position from guard on top but Varan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Varan trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Varan looking for a sweep. Not yet Varan, not yet.
Varan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Varan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Cowell lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Varan!

Cowell is riding his opponent, not letting Varan buck him off.

Cowell has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Varan! Can he survive? No! He's out! Cowell gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
