PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aundrash Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Toddler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Toddler has chosen I'm Fat as his entrance music. Danny Toddler is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aundrash Kane!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Danny Toddler!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Toddler fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kane sprawls well initially but Toddler persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Kane looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Toddler trying to mount his opponent but Kane defends it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Toddler thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Kane looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Toddler is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Kane wants to get back to full guard.

Kane looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Toddler is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Kane fails with the takedown

and Toddler counters with a shoot takedown. Kane fights it but they end up in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Toddler drops back looking for a leg! Kane is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kane manages to kick Toddler off! Toddler jumps back into Kane's guard.
Toddler wants to stand but Kane is controlling his posture from full guard.

Kane had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Toddler is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kane Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Toddler's back instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Toddler turns into Kane and is now in his guard.

Toddler wanted to stand there but Kane had control of the position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Kane working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Toddler doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Toddler manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Kane has an active guard here but Toddler has managed to pass into half guard.

Toddler passes to full mount!

Toddler is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kane can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Kane reaches up to try and control the position but Toddler seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Kane rolls and tries to escape and now Toddler has his back!

Toddler is trying to stick to Kane's back but Kane is turning into Toddler. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Toddler's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Kane.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Toddler is on top in guard.

Kane looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Toddler works a leg free and moves into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Toddler passes to full mount!

Toddler is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kane is surviving well by controlling Toddler's body position as best he can.

Kane manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Toddler wants to work for an arm triangle but Kane is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Kane is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Toddler pulls his head out easily.
Toddler sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kane defending well though.
Toddler is trying to control the action in half guard but Kane is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Toddler might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kane kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Danny Toddler dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Toddler moves in looking to clinch but Kane pushes him off.
Toddler wants to clinch up but Kane keeps it at a distance.

Toddler closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Toddler lands in his opponent's guard.

Kane is looking to sinch up a triangle. Toddler throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Kane's body to avoid the submission. Kane has instead reached around Toddler's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Kane arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Aundrash Kane!
Aundrash Kane is the new super heavyweight champion!
