Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pad Digger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett Yelton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yelton has chosen "My Life" - The Game as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pad Digger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brett Yelton!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yelton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Digger misses with a takedown attempt - Yelton sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Digger has a takedown stuffed.
Digger closes this distance looking for a takedown but Yelton circles away.

Yelton pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Yelton shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Digger counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Yelton scores with a one two! Digger had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Digger with a poor takedown
and Yelton counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Digger's guard now.
Yelton drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Digger dives on top into guard.
Digger won't allow Yelton to get back to his feet.

Yelton had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Digger is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Yelton Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Digger's back instead.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Digger tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Yelton goes for an armbar but Digger turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Digger.

Yelton can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Digger controls the pace.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Pad Digger just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Yelton pushes Digger up against the cage in a clinch.

Digger is looking to break free of the clinch but Yelton has double underhooks.
Digger takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Pad Digger has been cut.
Yelton wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Digger has him pressed against the cage.
Yelton lands a knee to the head.
Digger is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Yelton tries to pull guard but Digger won't allow it.

Digger changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Yelton fights it off and pushes away nicely.

and Digger counters with a nice double leg into side control. Yelton won't be happy with that.
Yelton is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Yelton has gone for a leg lock! Digger slips out almost immediately though and dives into Yelton's guard.
Digger is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Yelton isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Digger stacks Yelton on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Digger!

Pad Digger overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Digger wants to control but Yelton is keeping him busy.
Digger is trying to move to mount but Yelton reverses beautifully and ends up in Digger's guard.
Yelton gets to his feet. Digger looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Yelton doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Digger counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Yelton!
Yelton is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Yelton sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Digger content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Digger is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Digger thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Yelton's head.
