Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saiquin Raven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Xavier Gray has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Xavier Gray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Saiquin Raven!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gray fails in his attempt to clinch.
Gray tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Raven paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Gray tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Raven swivels and escapes.

The fight stays on the outside here - Gray looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

I looks like Raven might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Despite being in the dominant position, Saiquin Raven just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Gray gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Raven stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gray swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gray is looking to stand up but Raven isn't so interested in that idea.

Raven shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Raven closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Raven lands in his opponent's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Saiquin Raven showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Gray looks to clinch

Raven is pressing down on Gray's thigh, looking to free his foot. Gray is holding on for now.
Raven content to control rather than advance.
Let's hope that Raven has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Saiquin Raven comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Raven has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
