Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bryson Balmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sena Kobayakawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kobayakawa has chosen target=blank>drop the world as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bryson Balmer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sena Kobayakawa! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Kobayakawa misses its intended target. Kobayakawa tries to clinch up. Balmer scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Kobayakawa shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Balmer manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Balmer working for a triangle but Kobayakawa defends it easily.
Kobayakawa trying to control the position from guard on top but Balmer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Balmer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kobayakawa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kobayakawa manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kobayakawa wants to control from the top but Balmer keeps moving. Kobayakawa must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kobayakawa with a nice head shot there. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Balmer is on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kobayakawa not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kobayakawa wants to stand up but Balmer is controlling him. Kobayakawa is trying to control the position but Balmer postures up. Balmer is looking to work some ground and pound but Kobayakawa has wrist control. Kobayakawa pushes Balmer off and gets back to his feet.
The fighters circling - Kobayakawa throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kobayakawa throws the left hand but Balmer avoids the punch easily. Balmer fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kobayakawa clobbers Balmer with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
It looks like Bryson Balmer has been cut. A telegraphed right hand from Kobayakawa misses the target. Nice takedown defense from Balmer. No joy for Kobayakawa on that attempt. Kobayakawa looks gassed! Balmer steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kobayakawa. Kobayakawa is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Kobayakawa tries to clinch but Balmer moves away and Balmer counters with a takedown into side control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kobayakawa can do anything to dispel that myth. Balmer scoring with punches from side control. Balmer lands a decent elbow from side control. Balmer staying calm. Kobayakawa trying to control but Balmer flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Balmer connects with a big shot to the side of Kobayakawa's head.
Kobayakawa turns into Balmer and is now in his guard.
Kobayakawa trying to control but Balmer is working from the bottom. Balmer pulls Kobayakawa in close to prevent any damage. Balmer is trying to control the position but Kobayakawa postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Balmer trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Balmer is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kobayakawa defends well. Balmer looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kobayakawa is one step ahead there. Balmer working a defensive guard here.
Balmer pulls Kobayakawa in to control the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kobayakawa trying to control the position from guard on top but Balmer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kobayakawa wants to stand but Balmer is controlling his posture from full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bryson Balmer dominated that round. The cut man is working on Bryson Balmer's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Balmer slips under a jab. Balmer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kobayakawa paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kobayakawa throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Balmer shoots for a takedown but Kobayakawa saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Kobayakawa thows a left - swing and a miss! Balmer scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Kobayakawa getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Balmer steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kobayakawa. Kobayakawa circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kobayakawa is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Balmer. Bryson Balmer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kobayakawa tries to score a power double leg takedown but Balmer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kobayakawa somewhat. Balmer rushes Kobayakawa and presses him up against the cage. Balmer is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kobayakawa takes a knee to the side of the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Balmer can't break the clinch.
Kobayakawa tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Kobayakawa goes for a takedown attempt but Balmer pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bryson Balmer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sena Kobayakawa. Balmer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kobayakawa looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Balmer throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Kobayakawa works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Kobayakawa is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kobayakawa is trying to get back to full guard. Balmer is looking to take a break and control but Kobayakawa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kobayakawa is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Balmer working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Balmer thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kobayakawa's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kobayakawa pushes Balmer off looking to stand but Balmer dives back in and keeps control.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Balmer scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Kobayakawa is trying to maintain the position but Balmer is very close to passing his half guard. Kobayakawa is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Balmer jumps into side control! Kobayakawa is looking to reverse the position. Balmer is putting a hurting on Kobayakawa here, landing some big shots from side control. Kobayakawa wants to control but Balmer postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bryson Balmer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kobayakawa tries to buck Balmer off but Balmer is having none of it. Kobayakawa stuck in half guard on the bottom here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Balmer feints and as Kobayakawa raises his hands in defense, Balmer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Kobayakawa is looking to sweep but instead, Balmer has passed into half guard.

Bryson Balmer dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Bryson Balmer's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Kobayakawa fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Balmer, pushing him back against the cage. Balmer tries to pull guard but Kobayakawa holds him up against the cage and eventually Balmer drops back down to his feet.
Kobayakawa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kobayakawa bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Balmer's head. Kobayakawa tries to clinch there but Balmer circles away.
A big right from Kobayakawa misses. Kobayakawa might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Nice sprawl there from Kobayakawa as Balmer shoots in. Kobayakawa swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Kobayakawa is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Balmer jumps into side control! Kobayakawa is trying to improve his position. Kobayakawa is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Kobayakawa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Balmer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Balmer lands a few punches from side control. Balmer moves into full mount! Balmer looking to control and managing it successfully. Kobayakawa wants to try and get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Balmer avoids the attempt from Kobayakawa to control. Balmer with a couple of short strikes. Kobayakawa tries to hold on but Balmer pushes him away. Kobayakawa is trying desperately to improve position. Balmer working the ground and pound effectively.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kobayakawa is trying to escape the mount.
Balmer lands a nice shot to the head. Balmer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Balmer dominating with strikes here.
And that's the end of the fight! Bryson Balmer showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Balmer, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
