Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeffrey Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Wessel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Green comes to the cage accompanied by that go- keak da sneak. Eric Wessel has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jeffrey Green's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeffrey Green! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eric Wessel! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jorge Garcia and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Green drives through and clinches with Wessel against the cage.
Wessel breaks the clinch.
Wessel has a takedown stuffed. Green lands a body shot.
Wessel lands a big head kick that sends Green tumbling to the mat! Wessel takes a step backwards and waves Green back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Jeffrey Green has been cut. Wessel checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Wessel tries to bum rush Green with a series of wild strikes but Green uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Nice sprawl there from Green as Wessel shoots in. Wessel circles away from the clinch attempt.
Green lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Green tries to clinch there but Wessel circles away.
Green checks a leg kick. Wessel wants to clinch and Green holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Wessel creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Green's defenses. Wessel lands a nice elbow. Green jumps guard but Wessel stands there with Green around his waist. Green gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Green gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Wessel wants to stand up but Green is controlling him. Green looking to pass the guard. Green postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Green passes Wessel's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Green seems to be looking for submissions.
Ground and pound from Green. Wessel wants to get back to full guard. Green throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Wessel trying to hold on to Green's head to control him but Green postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wessel tries to get to full guard but Green has control of the leg. Wessel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Green. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Green is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wessel is trying to maintain the position but Green is very close to passing his half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Green looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Green wants to free his trapped foot but Wessel is holding on for dear life with his legs. Green thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Green looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Green is breathing heavily. Wessel wants to improve his position but Green is controlling well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Green wants to work for an arm triangle but Wessel is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Green stops Wessel from getting back to his feet.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Wessel dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Green. That did some damage! Wessel tries to score with a low kick but Green moves his leg out of the way. Green jabbing away but nothing is landing. Wessel pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Wessel drops Green with a beautiful combination! Green stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Wessel is looking for the KO!
Green is rocked! Wessel connects with a nice cross there... Green is looking wobbly and Wessel recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Green to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Wessel jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Eric Wessel!
