Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jimmy Ramone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Masakatsu Urishima!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramone goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Ramone throws a head kick but Urishima moves out of range.
Ramone is looking to clinch but Urishima is avoiding it.
Urishima throws a hook but Ramone blocks it.
Ramone doesn't manage to clinch there - Urishima circles away.

Urishima scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Urishima misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

I looks like Urishima might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Urishima thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Masakatsu Urishima dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Ramone wants to clinch up but Urishima keeps it at a distance.

Jimmy Ramone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Urishima avoids the head kick by Ramone.

Ramone looks to score with a jab to the body but Urishima is just out of range.
Ramone doesn't manage to clinch there - Urishima circles away.
Ramone ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Urishima swats away the attempt to clinch by Ramone.

Ramone lands a big head kick that sends Urishima tumbling to the mat! Ramone takes a step backwards and waves Urishima back to his feet - he wants the finish!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ramone forces Urishima back against the cage and clinches.
Ramone landing knees to the head.
Ramone has Urishima pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Urishima is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Ramone - that's hurt Urishima badly! Oh, another knee lands and Urishima is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Urishima doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Jimmy Ramone!
