Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Brutai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Pierce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Mike Brutai has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Mike Brutai seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Brutai! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Pierce! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brutai avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Brutai looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Pierce! Pierce can't escape the position.
Brutai throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Pierce because Brutai loaded up on that one. Pierce keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Brutai avoids the attempt from Pierce to control. Pierce is trying to reverse the position but instead Brutai has taken his back - oops! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brutai not allowing Pierce to control his hands. Brutai knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pierce on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Brutai's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Brutai doesn't have the hooks in and Pierce manages to turn into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pierce wants to control from the top but Brutai keeps moving.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Brutai fails with a takedown attempt. Pierce is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Brutai shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Pierce gets back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pierce looking for a sweep. Not yet Pierce, not yet. Brutai got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pierce has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brutai has managed to get both his arms back between Pierce's legs - danger averted. Brutai trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Pierce keeping moving, preventing Brutai from controlling successfully. Brutai is really struggling to control Pierce but he's trying to hold on to the position. Pierce is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Brutai is aware though and is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brutai trying to control but Pierce is working from the bottom. Brutai has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Pierce pushes a forearm under Brutai's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Brutai is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
