Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Harper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pain has chosen Step Up as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Harper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Pain!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pain gets a takedown into half guard.
Harper moves into full guard.
Harper preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Pain lands a couple of elbows.
It looks like John Harper has been cut.
Pain keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Harper's head.
Harper working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Pain.
Pain postures up in Harper's guard and throws a big left but Harper blocks it.
Harper is trying to keep Pain in close.
Pain must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Pain is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Harper has his hands on Pain's head, controlling the position.
Harper tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Pain chips away with some ground and pound.
Harper manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pain manages to get himself to full guard.
Harper throwing strikes but missing.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Harper stops Pain from standing up.
Harper postures up in Pain's guard and throws a big left but Pain blocks it.
Harper's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Harper working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Harper pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pain is keeping the position for now.
Pain wants to stand but Harper is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Harper has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Harper there as he acknowledges the shot.
Harper rushes Pain and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Harper drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pain pulls his leg out and moves away.
Harper fails with an attempt to clinch.
Harper scores with a jab to the head.
Harper moves out of range as Pain strikes.
Harper misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pain.
Pain lands a jab.
John Harper's cut is getting worse.
A big right from Harper misses.
John Harper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Harper misses with a body shot.
Pain swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Harper.
The fighters circling - Pain throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Harper throws a right and a left that both miss.
Harper pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Harper misses with a looping right.
Harper tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Pain paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Pain dodges the punch combination from Harper.
Pain misses the shot to the body.
A swing and a miss from Pain.
Harper tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pain swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Harper misses with a body shot.
Pain lands with a cross.
Pain thuds his right hand into Harper's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Pain cracks Harper with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Harper is rocked!
John Harper's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Pain is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Harper displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pain throws out the jab.
Oh Harper is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Harper is looking to clinch but Pain is avoiding it.
Pain missing with a left hand there. Harper was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Harper seems to have got his legs back now.
Pain closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Harper! Pain dives in looking to finish! Harper is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Max Pain!
