3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Lenny McClean! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Ackerman and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruger tries to clinch up but McClean circles away and keeps his distance. Ruger rushes McClean and presses him up against the cage. McClean is trying to break free. Ruger prevents McClean from breaking the clinch. Ruger misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from McClean.

It looks like Lenny McClean has been cut. Ruger keeps the fight in the clinch, despite McClean's efforts to push away. Ruger lands with a short head shot on the inside. McClean is looking to break free of the clinch but Ruger has double underhooks. Ruger throws a knee to the head but misses.
Ruger throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but McClean blocks it with crossed arms. McClean tries to break the clinch but Ruger is controlling the position. McClean looks gassed! McClean defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ruger. Ruger will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A combination from Ruger does no damage. McClean throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Ruger clinches. McClean working hard to break the clinch. McClean is trying to break free. McClean tries to break the clinch but Ruger is controlling the position. Ruger lands a knee to the body.

Ruger digs a right hand into McClean's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on McClean's gas tank. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Ruger just misses with a elbow thrown towards McClean's brow. Ruger comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Ruger lands with a right to the head. McClean wants to get back to striking at distance but Ruger won't allow it.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. McClean tries to break free but Ruger pushes him back against the cage. McClean wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

McClean is trying to force a seperation but Ruger has the dominant position. Ruger leaning his opponent against the cage. McClean is trying to break free. Ruger using the Thai plumb to throw knees but McClean has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McClean wants to break free but Ruger has control.

Robbie Ruger dominated that round. The cut man is working on Lenny McClean's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
McClean is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. A punch combination from Ruger misses. Ruger dodges the punch combination from McClean.
Nice jab there from McClean. Ruger throws a right hand that McClean ducks under and follows up with a left that McClean also avoids with ease. McClean keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ruger throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Ruger walks into a straight right hand from McClean. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McClean stalks Ruger and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ruger's face. Ruger staggers backwards, shaken. McClean connects with a nice looking jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. McClean scores with a decent looking hook. McClean is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. McClean looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. McClean cracks a nice hook into Ruger's ribs. McClean digs a good hook to Ruger's body.

Ruger takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Lenny McClean is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McClean lands a nice shot that snaps Ruger's head back.

That's two minutes gone in the round. McClean goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts McClean, as that shot connected.
McClean fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ruger manages to avoid it. McClean throws a one two combo.

McClean moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Danga de danga de dang - Ruger scores with a four punch combination! Ruger slips a jab and a cross from McClean.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruger takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Ruger shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. McClean ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Lenny McClean seems to be getting the better of the standup. McClean throws a right and a left that Ruger avoids nicely. Robbie Ruger is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. McClean fails to land with a series of punches.
Horrible takedown by Ruger or perhaps it was just good defense by McClean which made him look bad. McClean lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Jab, jab by McClean - just one landing. McClean misses with a looping right.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ruger drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McClean manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ruger's best efforts. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McClean misses with some strikes from the bottom.

McClean tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Ruger has advanced to mount. Uh oh. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ruger controlling the position easily from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lenny McClean showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Lenny McClean's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Ruger throws out a loose jab but McClean uses good head movement to avoid it. Ruger throws a combination that misses enabling McClean to counter with a crisp jab. McClean with a nice cross. McClean throws a series of punches but Ruger avoids them all with ease. Ruger swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for McClean. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Ruger avoids a punch combination nicely.

Ruger closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McClean to the mat! McClean manages to get full guard. McClean being controlled here, momentarily. McClean is looking to stand up but Ruger isn't so interested in that idea. Ruger stopping the sweep attempt from McClean.

Ruger slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Ruger lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. McClean manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Ruger is looking to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. McClean throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ruger has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McClean is working away from the top position though. McClean seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
McClean is trying to control the action in half guard but Ruger is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. McClean thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Ruger throws a front kick aimed at McClean's knee but McClean avoids it well. Ruger displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McClean throws out the jab. Ruger shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McClean sprawls well. McClean wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ruger gets slowly back to his feet. Ruger takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Ruger drops his hands momentarily and McClean takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Ruger misses with a wild combination.
McClean throws a right and a left that both miss. McClean misses with a looping left.
And that's the end of the fight! Robbie Ruger showed his dominance in that final round. I think Ruger has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
