Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quentin Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Allen's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Realest Sport. Cane has chosen Alice In Chains - Man In The Box as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Allen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Quentin Cane! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cane shoots in and bounces Allen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Cane wants to control from the top but Allen keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cane might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Allen kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Cane drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Allen manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cane has Allen in his guard. Allen trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Allen missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Cane trying to keep a closed guard but Allen is proving a slippery customer.

Allen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Allen throwing strikes but missing. Cane keeping moving, preventing Allen from controlling successfully. Allen stands and throws Cane's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Allen with the ground and pound but Cane regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Allen lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Cane is not content to let Allen control the position. Cane makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Cane. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cane is on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cane stays in close to Allen's body and controls the position. Allen keeping moving, preventing Cane from controlling successfully. Cane lands a couple of digs. Cane won't allow Allen to get back to his feet. Cane missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Cane looking to pass the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Allen preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Allen has his feet on Cane's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Cane cracks Allen with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Allen drops his hands momentarily and Cane takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Cane jabs at Allen's body. Cane avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cane connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Cane bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Allen fails with the takedown and Cane counters with a lovely shot to the body. Cane darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Allen looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. A slapping leg kick lands for Cane.
Cane shoots in for a takedown and gets it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Quentin Cane dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Allen wants to clinch but Cane slips to the side and Cane counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Cane connects with a jab. Cane is looking to slow Allen down with leg kicks. Allen with a poor takedown and Cane counters with a nice uppercut. Cane closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Allen to the mat! Allen manages to get full guard. Cane trying to control but Allen is working from the bottom. Cane showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Cane postures up in Allen's guard and throws a big left but Allen blocks it. Allen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cane on the ground. Cane trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Allen is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Cane dives into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Allen prevents Cane from improving position. Cane scoring with punches from side control. Cane trying to control the action but Allen is working from the bottom. Cane swings around for an armbar but Allen sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Cane's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Allen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Allen won't allow Cane to sweep him here. Allen throws a strike but Cane rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Allen pushes Cane off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Cane scores with a nice right hand.
Allen misses with a takedown attempt and Cane cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Allen shoots and misses and Cane makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Allen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cane gets the takedown into side control. Cane wants to control but Allen is keeping him busy. Cane working the head and body with strikes. Allen throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Cane connects with a crisp jab. Allen takes a jab right on the kisser.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Allen misses with a takedown attempt and Cane counters with a stiff right hand. Cane scores a takedown into full mount! Cane controlling from mount. Allen trying desperately to get to his feet.
Cane looking to control but Allen is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Cane moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Allen has worked his arm free - good work by Allen!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Allen stops Cane from passing to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Quentin Cane showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Allen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Cane makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Cane cracks a nice hook into Allen's ribs. Jason Allen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Allen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Cane counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Nice body punch from Cane. Cane connects with the punch. Cane scores with a body shot.
Allen with a poor takedown enabling Cane to counter with a crisp jab. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Allen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cane lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Cane fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Allen. Cane cracks Allen with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Cane scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Cane scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Allen takes a shot right to the bread basket. Both fighters are breathing heavily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cane displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Allen is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Cane. Jason Allen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A nice inside leg kick there by Cane. That's going to slow Allen down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cane cracks the inside of Allen's front leg. Quentin Cane seems to be getting the better of the standup. Cane works Allen's body with a nice hook. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Allen. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Cane throws a good cross that connects.
Allen takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. A lazy left from Cane finds it's target. Allen drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Cane fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Allen sprawls well initially but Cane persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Cane landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cane in particular looking to stall. Cane lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cane throwing shots but Allen is blocking nicely. Cane missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Allen is staying active underneath Cane, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Cane is looking for a kimura here.
Cane wants to take a breather but Allen is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Allen is looking to escape. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Allen is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Cane. Allen gets the takedown into side control. Cane parries the strikes from Allen easily there. Allen is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Cane to escape.
Quentin Cane is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Cane tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Cane tries to get back to half guard but can't. Allen wants to control but Cane has made it back to half guard. Nice work. Allen thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Cane to regain full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cane is trying to keep Allen in close.
Cane seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Jason Allen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cane looking to sweep here. No luck so far. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Allen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that's the end of the fight! Quentin Cane comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Cane has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
