Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson has chosen Voodoo People as his entrance music. Max Bear has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Max Bear! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Thomas Johnson! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson fails with the takedown. Bear shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Bear drops back, looking for a kneebar! Johnson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Johnson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Johnson! Bear on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bear tries to get out of the position. Bear is trying to improve his position. Johnson working the body and head with strikes. Johnson prevents Bear from escaping the position. Johnson taking a breather here. Johnson misses with an attempted head punch from side control. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bear knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Johnson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Bear is trying to improve his position. Johnson sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Bear is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sloppy strikes there by Johnson. Johnson in side control, throwing shots but Bear defends. Bear can't do much from the bottom here. Bear tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Johnson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Johnson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bear keeps working. Bear tries to bench press Johnson off him but Johnson keeps the position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Bear tries to escape but Johnson is in control. Johnson stands up and we're back to a striking position. Johnson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bear manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Bear tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Bear is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Johnson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Bear working a defensive guard but Johnson passes into half guard.

Bear is trying to control Johnson's posture but Johnson avoids it. Bear parries the strikes from Johnson easily there. Johnson is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Bear to escape.

Bear tries to bench press Johnson off him but Johnson keeps the position. Bear regains half guard. Johnson prevents Bear from standing back up.
Bear is pressing down on Johnson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Johnson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Johnson trying to control the position from guard on top but Bear is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bear wants to stand up but Johnson is controlling him. Bear keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully. Bear avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bear manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Johnson manages to get himself to full guard.

Johnson tries to free his leg and advance position but Bear is retaining full guard. Johnson wants to control from the top but Bear keeps moving. Johnson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bear is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Johnson, into his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Johnson striking off his back but it's not causing Bear any problems. Bear trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Johnson has his foot on Bear's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bear works his way back into a safe position though. Bear wants to pass the guard but Johnson is keeping the position. Bear is working hard here to advance position. Bear throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Johnson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Johnson throws his legs up looking for a submission but Bear uses it to pass to side control.
Johnson is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Bear lands a few punches from side control. Bear wants to take a breather but Johnson manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Bear. Bear trying to control but Johnson is working from the bottom. Bear postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Bear stands and steps away. Johnson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Johnson misses with a takedown attempt and Bear counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Bear trying to control but Johnson is working from the bottom.

A close second round but Thomas Johnson will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Johnson has his takedown stuffed and Bear counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bear. Bear is pressed up against the ropes. Johnson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bear down to the mat. Bear avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Bear shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Johnson working to try and regain half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bear working for a guillotine from mount but Johnson is in no mood to give up. Johnson is looking to get to half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson wants to sweep but no luck. Johnson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bear loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Johnson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bear manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Bear isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Johnson stacks Bear on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Johnson! Bear takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Johnson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Bear tries for a takedown but Johnson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Johnson misses with a takedown attempt and Bear counters with a takedown into side control. Max Bear has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Johnson. Johnson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Bear off and has taken his back! Johnson trying to control. Johnson doesn't have the hooks in and Bear manages to turn into his guard.
Bear connects with a couple of short punches. Johnson is trying to control the position but Bear postures up. Bear trying to control but Johnson is working from the bottom. Bear is working Johnson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bear slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Bear decides to stand back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Max Bear showed his dominance in that final round. I think Johnson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
