Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bret Heart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Runtua Rujo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Runtua Rujo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bret Heart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Runtua Rujo!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Saam Ante and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rujo shoots in for a takedown but Heart shows good takedown defense.
Rujo misses with a few strikes there.
Heart keeps the fight on the outside.

Rujo is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Heart's half guard.
Heart keeping control of the position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Heart manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Heart has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Rujo wants to stand and escape but instead Heart has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Heart forces his way into half guard.
Rujo tries to get to full guard but Heart has control of the leg.
Rujo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Heart scores with a couple of nice shots.


It looks like Runtua Rujo has been cut.
Rujo is not content to let Heart control the position.
Heart takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Heart is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Heart seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rujo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Heart is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rujo defends it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Heart is working for a kimura but Rujo is defending it quite comfortably.
Heart is breathing heavily.
Heart passes the guard and advances to mount!
Rujo tries to hold on but Heart postures up.
Rujo is in all sorts of trouble here.

Rujo sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Rujo is refusing to be controlled, as Heart sits in half guard.
Heart prevents Rujo from improving his position.

Rujo is defending against the submission attempts here by Heart.
Rujo is looking for a sweep. Heart is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Heart lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Heart is pressing down on Rujo's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rujo is holding on for now.

Heart wants to take a breather but Rujo is having none of it.

Heart is trying to work for a kimura but Rujo is defending well.

Rujo wants to control but Heart is keeping busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Runtua Rujo's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Rujo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Heart sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rujo somewhat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Heart pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rujo is keeping the position for now.
Heart advances position into side control!
Rujo is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Heart trying to control the action but Rujo is working from the bottom.
Rujo is looking to reverse the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Heart trying to control the position but Rujo is working away.
Heart lands a few punches from side control.
Heart trying to control the action but Rujo is working from the bottom.

Heart thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Heart in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Rujo is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
