The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nogueira takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Nogueira pushes Jones up against the cage in a clinch.

Jones has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nogueira tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nogueira has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Nogueira looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Jones is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Jones wants to get back to his feet but Nogueira is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Jones shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jones showed some decent athleticism there.

Jones is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nogueira is just riding it out for now. Jones eventually gives up the hold.

Nogueira manages to get to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones shoots in and drives through. Nogueira sprawls well.
Nogueira fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Jones wants to clinch up but Nogueira keeps it at a distance.

and Jones counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jones.

Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Nogueira is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jones is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jones has escaped and now he's on top!
Jones wants to control from the top but Nogueira keeps moving.
Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nogueira works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Nogueira working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jones is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Nogueira is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Jones is looking to improve his position.

Nogueira is working for a kimura but Jones is defending it quite comfortably.

Jones wants to control but Nogueira passes into side.

Nogueira is working to tighten is grip on Jones's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Jones has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Nogueira is really squeezing tight and eventually Jones passes out! Nogueira breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
