Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergey Melikhov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maksim Pankratev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pankratev has chosen Paul Oakenfold - Ready Steady Go as his entrance music. Sergey Melikhov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melikhov misses with a straight left.
Melikhov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pankratev paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Pankratev forces Melikhov back against the cage and clinches.
Pankratev landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Melikhov is trying to force a seperation but Pankratev has the dominant position.
Pankratev tries to land knees in the clinch but Melikhov avoids the damage to the body.

I looks like Pankratev might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

and Pankratev counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Melikhov's guard now.
Pankratev is pushing down on Melikhov's leg trying to pass to half guard. Melikhov is fighting to maintain full guard but Pankratev has managed to sneak the leg through.
Pankratev seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Melikhov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Pankratev jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Melikhov walks away with a smile on his face. Pankratev gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
