Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roger Givens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francois Pignon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Givens comes to the cage accompanied by LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR. Pignon is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: NTM- Qu'est-ce qu'on attend. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roger Givens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Francois Pignon!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pignon bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Givens wants to clinch.
Pignon misses with a takedown attempt - Givens sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Givens shoots in and bounces Pignon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Pignon had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Givens is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Pignon Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Givens's back instead.
Pignon working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Givens trying to control the action but Pignon just sinks the hooks in.
Givens defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Pignon's arms.
Givens controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Well, with Pignon on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Givens is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
That's one minute gone in the round.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Givens holding both Pignon 's hands and preventing any damage.
Givens knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pignon on the ground.
Pignon biding his time, looking for the opening.
Givens just trying to survive but Pignon is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Givens tries to escape but Pignon has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
A lull in the action here.
Givens tries to roll but Pignon sticks to his back.
Pignon trying to control.
Pignon is working for a rear naked choke. Givens is not defending it well and Pignon has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Givens refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Givens's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Francois Pignon!
