Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mark Gate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Huricain Hearn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gate's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Avenged Sevenfold - Blinded In Chains. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Gate!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Huricain Hearn!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gate feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Gate seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Hearn lands a good elbow from the bottom.
Gate controls from within his opponent's guard.

Gate closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Gate has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Gate works to advance to full mount. Hearn defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Hearn is desperately trying to improve his position but Gate has a good base and remains in mount.

Gate changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hearn looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Gate is looking to take a break and control but Hearn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mark Gate.
Well Gate has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
