Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominick Rosato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Parker comes to the cage accompanied by Young. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michael Parker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dominick Rosato! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rosato misses with a looping left. Rosato lands a nice shot to the body.
Parker tries to clinch but Rosato moves out of range. Rosato stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rosato wants it to stay on the feet. Parker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rosato. Rosato tries to keep at a distance but Parker has taken the fight into the clinch. Rosato wants to get back to striking at distance but Parker won't allow it.
Parker is pushing Rosato up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Parker manages to break the clinch.
Rosato bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Parker's head backwards.
It looks like Michael Parker has been cut. Parker scores with a crisp jab that stopped Rosato in his tracks. Parker clinches up with Rosato and pushes him back against the cage. Rosato wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Parker no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Rosato with a flurry of punches that miss. Rosato wants to stand but Parker is controlling his posture from full guard. Parker uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rosato. Parker steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rosato. Parker works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
It looks like Dominick Rosato has been cut. Parker has a takedown stuffed. Parker blocks a jab. Parker walks into a jab. Rosato punishes Parker's body with a nice straight punch. Parker displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rosato throws out the jab. Parker tries to clinch but Rosato is having none of it. Parker missing with a left hand there. Rosato was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Parker looks to land a combination but Rosato avoids it well. Parker drives through and clinches with Rosato against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Parker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rosato swats him away and circles back towards the center. Parker throws a sloppy head kick and Rosato moves out of range easily. Parker is breathing heavily. Parker waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Rosato. Dominick Rosato is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Rosato lands the left hand. Parker lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Parker walks into a jab. Parker looks for a takedown but Rosato sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Parker. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rosato misses with a straight right. Parker walks into a jab. Parker takes a jab right on the kisser.
Parker rushes Rosato and presses him up against the cage. Parker has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rosato avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Rosato tries to break the clinch but Parker is controlling the position. Parker lands a nice shot to the body. Parker jumps guard but Rosato stands there with Parker around his waist. Parker gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rosato has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Parker is proving hard to escape from. Rosato decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Parker, up you get! Rosato scores with a jab to the body. Parker takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Parker tries to clinch but Rosato moves out of range. Rosato connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Parker's hands. Rosato throws a hook but Parker avoids it easily. Rosato keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Rosato is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round!Parker had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Rosato scores with a jab to the body. Rosato lands a head shot. Rosato lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Parker circles away quickly and effectively. Parker shoots in but no luck this time. Rosato misses with a body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rosato scores with the left hand. Parker knows he should have avoided that one. Rosato steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Parker. Parker slips under a jab from Rosato. Rosato misses with a hook. Parker avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Parker shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Parker was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Parker controlling from the full mount. Parker has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rosato's face.
Rosato really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Parker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Parker throws some wild stikes that Rosato manages to avoid easily.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rosato can do anything to dispel that myth. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Parker lands a nice shot to the head. Rosato wants to try and get back to his feet. Rosato is trying desperately to improve position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
