Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Donnie O Brien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masahura Yakisoba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Brien 's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Rocky Road to Dublin. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Donnie O Brien ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Masahura Yakisoba! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! O Brien misses the shot to the body. O Brien keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
A shot to the body from Yakisoba misses so O Brien counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. O Brien working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Yakisoba avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. O Brien throws a big right hand that misses. O Brien postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Yakisoba lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for O Brien ! Yakisoba postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. O Brien looks a forlorn figure.

That's one minute gone in the round. Yakisoba goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now O Brien is on top in guard.
O Brien trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yakisoba looking to control.
Yakisoba bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in O Brien 's guard. O Brien wants to sweep here but Yakisoba controlling him for the moment. Yakisoba throwing strikes from guard but O Brien blocks nicely. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Yakisoba accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. O Brien looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Yakisoba has picked O Brien up and slammed him! O Brien can't keep hold of the triangle and Yakisoba manages to pass to side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. O Brien gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! O Brien is squirming around, avoiding Yakisoba's attempts to control the action. O Brien tries to lock up and control but Yakisoba gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Yakisoba controlling his opponent. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. O Brien tries to reverse the position but Yakisoba maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yakisoba is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but O Brien is surviving well by controlling Yakisoba's body position as best he can. O Brien is looking to get to half guard. O Brien tries to hold on but Yakisoba postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. O Brien is desperately trying to improve his position but Yakisoba has a good base and remains in mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. O Brien wants to control but Yakisoba is having none of it. O Brien is wriggling around trying to escape.
Yakisoba wants to control the pace but O Brien is squirming around nicely. O Brien tries to lock up and control but Yakisoba gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Yakisoba trying to control but O Brien is having none of it. O Brien tries to reverse the position but Yakisoba maintains control. That was a close round but I would say that Donnie O Brien will probably get the nod. That's time! O Brien 's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. O Brien moves out of range of the strikes. O Brien moves into the clinch. O Brien breaks the clinch.
O Brien ducks under a wild hook from Yakisoba. O Brien shoots in but no luck this time. Yakisoba lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but O Brien circles away quickly and effectively. Yakisoba throws a left and a right that both miss
and O Brien counters with a takedown into side control. O Brien wants to control but Yakisoba is keeping him busy. O Brien tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. O Brien just content to control the position. Yakisoba managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by O Brien .
O Brien tries to advance to mount but Yakisoba denies him. Yakisoba is positioning himself to get back to half guard. O Brien throws a strike aimed at the side of Yakisoba's head but Yakisoba avoids it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. O Brien working the head and body with strikes. Yakisoba can't do much from the bottom here. Yakisoba is not content to let O Brien control the position. Yakisoba prevents O Brien from moving into mount. Yakisoba trying to remain calm as O Brien controls from the top position. Yakisoba tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but O Brien wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. O Brien wants to control but Yakisoba is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Yakisoba keeping his opponent close.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Yakisoba lands a with a good body shot. O Brien takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. O Brien drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. O Brien sitting in guard, not really doing much. Yakisoba wants to sweep but no luck. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Donnie O Brien dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Donnie O Brien is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Yakisoba lands a straight punch to the body, keeping O Brien at a distance.
O Brien on the wrong end of a nice hook. O Brien takes a swing at Yakisoba's ribcage but misses. O Brien takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. O Brien slips under a jab from Yakisoba. O Brien avoids a punch combination nicely.

and O Brien counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! O Brien works his way into side control. O Brien looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yakisoba is pushing O Brien 's head away, looking to escape. O Brien manages to hold on to the position though. O Brien working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. O Brien cracks Yakisoba with an elbow. That is naaassty. Yakisoba is looking to reverse the position. Sloppy strikes there by O Brien . Yakisoba is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but O Brien has just dragged him back down to the mat. O Brien wants to control for a moment but Yakisoba uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Yakisoba trying to control the action but O Brien is working from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Yakisoba slips under a jab from O Brien . Yakisoba misses with a body kick. O Brien has a takedown stuffed. O Brien keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from O Brien . O Brien closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yakisoba is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but O Brien has just dragged him back down to the mat. Yakisoba manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Yakisoba is refusing to be controlled, as O Brien sits in half guard. O Brien tries to pass the half guard into mount. Yakisoba knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. O Brien throwing shots but Yakisoba is blocking nicely. Yakisoba has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. O Brien is working away from the top position though. O Brien is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Yakisoba sees it coming and defends easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Yakisoba is staying active underneath O Brien , who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Yakisoba throws a shot from downtown. O Brien moves away and avoids it. O Brien uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Yakisoba. Nice straight punches there by Yakisoba. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Yakisoba. Yakisoba falls off balance throwing a combination
and O Brien decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Yakisoba's guard. O Brien postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. O Brien is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Donnie O Brien overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. O Brien throwing strikes but missing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but Donnie O Brien did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. O Brien thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. O Brien lands a nice short elbow. Yakisoba trying to hold on to O Brien 's head to control him but O Brien postures up.
O Brien lands strikes from half guard. Yakisoba has one foot on O Brien 's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. O Brien throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yakisoba's waist but Yakisoba gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing O Brien off to one side. Yakisoba misses with a body shot

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Yakisoba comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Yakisoba swings away with a body shot that misses
and O Brien counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by O Brien . It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. O Brien trying to control but Yakisoba is working from the bottom. O Brien trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. O Brien tries to free his leg and advance position but Yakisoba is retaining full guard. Yakisoba trying to keep a closed guard but O Brien is proving a slippery customer.

Donnie O Brien had his way with Masahura Yakisoba in that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from O Brien . O Brien on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Yakisoba misses with a body shot.
Yakisoba lands a nice looking kick to the body. O Brien takes a step back to recover. Horrible takedown by O Brien or perhaps it was just good defense by Yakisoba which made him look bad. Masahura Yakisoba has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. O Brien trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. O Brien pushing down on Yakisoba's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Yakisoba keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

And that's the end of the fight! Donnie O Brien showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for O Brien , winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
