Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Geo Brigg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Maldonado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maldonado has chosen momma said knock you out as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brigg shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Maldonado manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Maldonado can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Brigg controls the pace.
Brigg passes Maldonado's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Brigg works his foot free and advances to mount.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
You get the feeling that Maldonado really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Geo Brigg just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Maldonado is looking to clinch.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Maldonado moves into range and clinches up with Brigg.

Brigg is trying to trip Maldonado. He has hold of a leg but Maldonado is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Brigg persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brigg takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
