Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and hillbilly george (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Randy Griffin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, hillbilly george!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin throws a series of punches but george moves out of range.
george changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Griffin tries to avoid it but george manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Griffin to the ground. Griffin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
george shoots in but no luck this time.
Griffin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
george is looking to clinch.

george shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Griffin is trying to stand.
george has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Griffin is trying to stand up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Poor strikes thrown by george there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
george misses with a head shot.
george cracks Griffin with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Griffin is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
george controlling from the full mount.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
george tries to control but Griffin wriggling away.
Griffin holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as george tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

The referee warns Griffin that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

george jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Griffin manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Griffin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Griffin tries to get out of the position.

george tries for a kimura but Griffin is defending well.

george controlling the position from side mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

hillbilly george dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


george tries to clinch but Griffin moves out of range.
george looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
george wants to clinch.
george shoots in looking for a takedown. Griffin tries to sprawl out of it but george keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Griffin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
george tries to score a power double leg takedown but Griffin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten george somewhat.
Randy Griffin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of hillbilly george.
Griffin throws a right and a left that george avoids nicely.

george doesn't manage to clinch there - Griffin circles away.
george takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Griffin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Griffin wants it to stay on the feet.
george shoots in and drives through. Griffin sprawls well.
Randy Griffin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
george is breathing heavily.
george moves forwards but Griffin connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Griffin tries to bum rush george with a series of wild strikes but george uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Griffin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by george.
george shoots in but no luck this time.
george closes this distance looking for a takedown but Griffin circles away.
Griffin throws a right and a left that both miss.
Griffin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A left and a right from Griffin both land. Nice combination.

Griffin stuffs the takedown attempt from george. george gets slowly back to his feet.
Griffin lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Griffin.

Griffin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Griffin scores with a three punch combo!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Griffin moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
george takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


george is rocked!

Griffin lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. george is looking to close the distance but Griffin sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! george crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope george is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
