The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iringen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Iringen wants it to stay on the feet.
Shepard throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Iringen was covering up waiting for the punch and Shepard finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Shepard trying to control but Iringen is working from the bottom.
Iringen looking for a sweep. Not yet Iringen, not yet.

Iringen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Well, if Iringen is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Shepard is looking for a sweep. Iringen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
