Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Pollack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sheldon Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jackson Pollack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sheldon Green!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green shoots for a takedown but Pollack saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Green tries to clinch there but Pollack circles away.
Pollack wants to clinch.
Pollack fails with an attempt to clinch.
Green keeps the fight on the outside.
Green looks to clinch

and Pollack counters with a nice double leg into side control. Green won't be happy with that.
Pollack working the ground and pound from side control.

Pollack has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Pollack looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Green!
Green tries to lock up and control but Pollack gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Pollack is standing up, even though he is in mount.

Green has his takedown stuffed

and Pollack counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Green!
Pollack controlling the pace for now.
Green is trying to escape the mount.
Green has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.

Pollack controls the action.
Pollack's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Green looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
Green looks gassed!
Green breaks Pollack's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pollack wants to sweep but no luck.
Green trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Green wants to pass the guard but Pollack is keeping the position.
Pollack is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Green is controlling him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Green looks to clinch

and Pollack counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Pollack tries to free his leg and advance position but Green is retaining full guard.
Pollack content to stall in guard here.

Pollack decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Green tries for a takedown but Pollack circles away easily
and Pollack counters with a thumping low kick.
Jackson Pollack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sheldon Green.
Pollack tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Pollack is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Green's half guard.
Well, if Pollack is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Green pushes Pollack off looking to stand but Pollack dives back in and keeps control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Pollack shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Green is trying to defend but Pollack finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Pollack working over Green with some ground and pound. Green looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Pollack is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Pollack seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Green is in trouble now - Pollack has advanced to mount!
Pollack sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Pollack pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Green is trying desperately to improve position.
Pollack landing strikes, looking to finish!

Green working to try and regain half guard.
Green is in a horrible position here. Pollack smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Pollack wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
Pollack takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Pollack looking for a guillotine from mount but Green is having none of it.
Pollack looking to control and managing it successfully.

Pollack connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Green's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Green wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Jackson Pollack overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Pollack keeps control of the position as Green tries to break free.
Pollack is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

Pollack has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Green has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Pollack drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Pollack is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Pollack won't allow Green to get back to his feet.
Pollack sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Green is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Green has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pollack can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Pollack thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Green wants to sweep but no luck.
Green wants to stand and escape but Pollack is having none of it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Pollack closes the distance and clinches.

Pollack has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Green is trying to keep an underhook but Pollack manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Pollack stalling.

Pollack is taking a breather. Green says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Green has momentary wrist control but Pollack slips an elbow through the middle.

Pollack is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Pollack has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Pollack wants to pass the guard but Green is keeping the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Green working for a triangle but Pollack defends it easily.
Sheldon Green has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Well Pollack has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
