Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia swats away the attempt to clinch by Grey.
Maia lands with a slapping head kick.
Grey shoots in for a takedown but Maia shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Maia looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Maia moves into the clinch.
Grey tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Maia just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justin Grey. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Maia pushes off an throws an elbow but Grey leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Grey turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Maia pushes Grey away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Grey gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Maia takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maia looks gassed!

Maia really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Grey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
