Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dallas Blackwater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mario Rodriguez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dallas Blackwater!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackwater is looking to clinch but Rodriguez is avoiding it.
Dallas Blackwater seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rodriguez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Rodriguez wants to control from the top but Blackwater keeps moving.

Rodriguez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

It looks like Mario Rodriguez has been cut.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Blackwater breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Blackwater wants to clinch but Rodriguez slips to the side
and Rodriguez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Blackwater is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Blackwater manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Blackwater tries to close the distance and clinch but Rodriguez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Blackwater looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Rodriguez throws a right and a left that Blackwater avoids nicely.

Blackwater rushes Rodriguez and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Rodriguez has had enough of the clinch but Blackwater keeps him there for the moment.
Blackwater goes for a takedown attempt but Rodriguez pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Blackwater moves out of range of the body kick from Rodriguez.
Rodriguez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Blackwater closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rodriguez to the mat! Rodriguez manages to get full guard.
Blackwater is looking to work some ground and pound but Rodriguez has wrist control.
Rodriguez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Blackwater's guard.
Rodriguez wants to control from the top but Blackwater keeps moving.
Blackwater wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Rodriguez manages to pass to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rodriguez thows a huge punch but Blackwater dodges it nicely.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Blackwater tries to roll over but Rodriguez keeps him under control.
Rodriguez takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Rodriguez prevents Blackwater from standing back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Blackwater tries to kick Rodriguez off in order to stand up. Rodriguez Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Rodriguez tries to score with some ground and pound. Blackwater controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Dallas Blackwater showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
