Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Big Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Greene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob comes to the cage accompanied by Oh my god.... Big Bob has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Greene!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

It looks like James Greene has been cut.
Greene tries to clinch up but Bob circles away and keeps his distance.
Bob shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Greene as he jumps to the side.
Greene fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bob dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Bob leaves Greene with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bob throws a right hand that Greene ducks under and follows up with a left that Greene also avoids with ease.
Greene tries to clinch but Bob moves out of range.
Bob swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bob throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Bob lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Greene at a distance.
Greene tries to clinch up but Bob circles away and keeps his distance.
Bob cracks Greene with a good jab.
Bob connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Greene moves out of range as Bob strikes.
Greene fails in his attempt to clinch.
Bob misses with a takedown
and Greene counters with a low kick, right behind Bob 's knee.

Bob closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Bob tries to stall but Greene uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Bob on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Greene pushes off an throws an elbow but Bob leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Greene closes the distance looking to clinch
and Bob counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Greene moves into the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's time! Bob's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Bob counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Bob connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Bob is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

and Bob counters with a one-two to the body.

and Bob counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Big Bob seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Greene cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bob is in all sorts of trouble here.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Greene is trying to drag Bob to the mat but Bob just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Bob has hold of one of Greene's legs. Greene is fighting the takedown attempt but Bob gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Bob drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Greene manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bob has Greene in his guard.

Bob looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Greene has picked Bob up and slammed him! Bob can't keep hold of the triangle and Greene manages to pass to side control!

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Greene just misses with a elbow thrown towards Bob's brow.
James Greene has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Big Bob.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bob, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
