Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Niilo Niputtaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Mann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Niputtaja's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Ratsia - Lontoon Skidit. Mann has chosen Filthy Dubstep as his entrance music. Steven Mann acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Niputtaja shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mann is trying to defend but Niputtaja finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Mann is trying to stand.
Niputtaja thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mann's head.
Niputtaja works his way into full mount!
Mann is squirming around, avoiding Niputtaja's attempts to control the action.
Niputtaja throwing strikes here but Mann is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Niputtaja moves into the clinch.
Niputtaja jumps guard but Mann stands there with Niputtaja around his waist. Niputtaja gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Niputtaja's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Mann throws a push kick but Niputtaja slaps the foot to one side.
Niputtaja uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mann.
Niputtaja decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Niputtaja is trying to control. Mann wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Mann is looking to control Niputtaja's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mann avoid being mounted?
Niputtaja tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mann knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Niputtaja shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mann's guard.

Mann bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Mann throws a looping overhand right but Niputtaja ducks down to avoid it.

Steven Mann showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Niputtaja jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mann walks away with a smile on his face. Niputtaja gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
