Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ernie tries to clinch there but cheese circles away.

Ernie shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
cheese has hold of Ernie's hands but Ernie slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Ernie is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Ernie drops back looking for a leg! cheese is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and cheese manages to kick Ernie off! Ernie jumps back into cheese's guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Ernie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts cheese as he jumps to the side.
cheese throws a low kick, looking for Ernie's leg but Ernie calmly moves out of range.
Ernie shoots in looking for a takedown. cheese tries to sprawl out of it but Ernie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. cheese manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ernie has a takedown stuffed.

Ernie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but cheese can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That was a close round but I would say that terry cheese will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ernie can do anything to dispel that myth.
BOOM! cheese connects with a massive shot to the dome!

cheese wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ernie keeps working.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
cheese is stalling here. Ernie is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! cheese seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Ernie has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Horrible takedown by Ernie or perhaps it was just good defense by cheese which made him look bad.
