The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hitman takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

It looks like Dave Hitman has been cut.
McGregor throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hitman sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hitman is trying hard to land a takedown here. McGregor sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
McGregor throws a nice looking combination but Hitman bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Hitman clinches up against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

McGregor manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
McGregor is controlling Hitman's posture.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Hitman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Hitman takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Hitman moves into the clinch.

Hitman manages to pull guard.
McGregor postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
McGregor wants to control from the top but Hitman keeps moving.
McGregor loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Hitman tries to land a sweep but no joy.

McGregor decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Hitman, up you get!

and Hitman counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Hitman throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Hitman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McGregor does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

McGregor is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hitman pulls his head out easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
McGregor thows a left - swing and a miss!
McGregor walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hitman checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
McGregor throws an overhand right that lands on Hitman's shoulder, as Hitman tries to avoid the shot.

Hitman moves into the clinch successfully.
McGregor lands with a right to the head.
Hitman lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
McGregor pushes Hitman back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
McGregor is trying to break free.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McGregor wants to break the clinch but can't.
McGregor misses with a punch on the inside.
McGregor lands with a left to the head.
Hitman drops down looking for an ankle pick but McGregor pulls his leg out and moves away.
McGregor is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
McGregor slaps away a takedown attempt from Hitman, before circling back to the center of the mat.
William McGregor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Hitman.

and Hitman counters with a shoot takedown. McGregor fights it but they end up in guard.
McGregor knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hitman on the ground.
McGregor lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hitman!
Hitman takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
McGregor postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hitman looks a forlorn figure.
Hitman is trying desperately to improve position.

McGregor wants to finish this one by submission but Hitman is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from McGregor.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hitman is working to get back to half guard.
McGregor scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Hitman?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hitman drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
McGregor connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hitman's hands.
McGregor clinches but Hitman breaks the clinch

and Hitman holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Hitman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McGregor sizes up Hitman with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
A right-left combo lands from McGregor.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hitman gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Hitman is rocked!
McGregor ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Hitman out cold! The fight is over!
