PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Optimus Prime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Broc Lesna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Prime comes to the cage accompanied by Man in the Mirror. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lesna closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Prime to the mat! Prime manages to get full guard.
Lesna with a flurry of punches that miss.
Lesna sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Prime keeping moving, preventing Lesna from controlling successfully.
Prime on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Prime tries to get out of the position.
Lesna throws a big right hand that misses.
Lesna trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Prime is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lesna distracts Prime with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

It looks like Optimus Prime has been cut.

Prime manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lesna manages to get himself to full guard.
Lesna tries to strike from the bottom.

Lesna has his foot on Prime's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Prime works his way back into a safe position though.
Lesna striking off his back but it's not causing Prime any problems.
Lesna wants to sweep here but Prime controlling him for the moment.
Lesna lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Prime!
Prime is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Lesna throwing strikes here but Prime is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
A nice elbow there by Lesna.
Lesna misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Lesna throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Prime avoids a series of strikes thrown by Lesna.

Lesna is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Lesna extends the arm and Prime is forced to tap!
