Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Lisnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Bonds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bonds has chosen Live And Let Die as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Lisnar! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Billy Bonds! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lisnar fails with the takedown. Lisnar fails with a takedown attempt. Lisnar takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Michael Lisnar has been cut. Lisnar changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bonds looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Lisnar goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Bonds rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Lisnar's guard! Nice work there by Bonds! Bonds throws and elbow that misses. Lisnar uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bonds's guard. Nice move by Lisnar! Lisnar gets to his feet - Bonds follows without any prompting. Lisnar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bonds utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lisnar throws a big right hand that misses. Bonds has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Lisnar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bonds works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Lisnar looking to pass the guard. Bonds pushes Lisnar off and scrambles back to his feet.
Billy Bonds is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lisnar shoots for a double leg takedown but Bonds sprawls well. He's pushed Lisnar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Lisnar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bonds drives through and clinches with Lisnar against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bonds lands an elbow just above Lisnar 's eye. Bonds has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Bonds obliges. Bonds tries a knee to the head but Lisnar blocks it.

Lisnar thows a huge punch but Bonds dodges it nicely.

Lisnar drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bonds dives on top into guard. Bonds postures up in Lisnar's guard and throws a big left but Lisnar blocks it. That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bonds accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Bonds is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bonds looking to pass the guard. Lisnar working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bonds. Bonds lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bonds working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Lisnar looking to control.

Lisnar fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bonds avoids it really well and circles away. Lisnar shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bonds manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Lisnar throws a big right hand that misses. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bonds preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Lisnar throws a strike but Bonds rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Bonds is looking to work some ground and pound but Lisnar has wrist control. Bonds throws a strike but Lisnar rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Lisnar trying to move into half guard but instead Bonds has managed to sweep! Lisnar on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lisnar tries to get out of the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Good leg kick by Bonds there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

A close second round but Billy Bonds will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Michael Lisnar's cut. That's time! Lisnar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Horrible takedown by Lisnar or perhaps it was just good defense by Bonds which made him look bad. Lisnar moves away from the strike by Bonds. Bonds throws a nice outside leg kick. Lisnar shoots in looking for a takedown. Bonds tries to sprawl out of it but Lisnar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bonds manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bonds throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bonds lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Lisnar shoots in for a takedown but Bonds shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Lisnar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lisnar misses with a hook. A nice leg kick lands there from Bonds. Lisnar swings for the body but Bonds moves out of range.
Lisnar chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bonds can pounce on him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lisnar takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bonds lands a big head kick that sends Lisnar to the canvas! Bonds follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
