And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Larohn Kongo!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kongo blocks a head kick by BraklyJones.
Kongo wants to clinch up but BraklyJones keeps it at a distance.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by BraklyJones.
Kongo avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kongo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts BraklyJones as he jumps to the side.
BraklyJones is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

BraklyJones is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kongo is just riding it out for now. BraklyJones eventually gives up the hold.

BraklyJones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kongo but Kongo pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Kongo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but BraklyJones circles away quickly and effectively.

so BraklyJones counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
BraklyJones wants to pass the guard but Kongo is keeping the position.
Kongo is trying to control the position from the bottom.
BraklyJones is looking to work some ground and pound but Kongo has wrist control.
Kongo wants to sweep here but BraklyJones controlling him for the moment.
BraklyJones trying to control the position from guard on top but Kongo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

BraklyJones throws a right and a left that both miss.

BraklyJones shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Kongo wants to get back to his feet.
BraklyJones wants to pass the guard but Kongo is defending well.

BraklyJones is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kongo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time BraklyJones.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kongo is trying to maintain the position but BraklyJones is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
BraklyJones wants to free his trapped foot but Kongo is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kongo tries to clinch up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
BraklyJones dodges the punch combination from Kongo.
Kongo throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and BraklyJones counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

BraklyJones is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Kongo still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Kongo has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
BraklyJones takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
BraklyJones wants to control but Kongo postures up.
BraklyJones is looking for a sweep.
Kongo scores with punches from side control.
BraklyJones is trying to control Kongo's posture but Kongo avoids it.
Kongo is looking to take a break and control but BraklyJones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

BraklyJones tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kongo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kongo misses with a double jab

and BraklyJones decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kongo's guard.

Kongo is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! BraklyJones has his hands clasped together but Kongo extends an breaks BraklyJones's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Kongo.
