Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Puder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Puder's entrance music is Composure- August Burns Red. A fine choice. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Jon Jones enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daniel Puder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Jones!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Steve Montenegro and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puder throws a nice outside leg kick.
Jones tries to clinch but Puder is having none of it.

Puder closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Puder stops Jones from getting back to his feet.
Jones throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Puder will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Puder is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Jones has managed to free his arm - good work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Puder has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jones had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Puder is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jones Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Puder's back instead.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Jones thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Jones lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Jones is throwing strikes by Puder counters by rolling into a better position. After a scramble, Puder regains half guard.
Puder avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jones.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Puder throws a head kick but Jones moves out of range.
Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Puder moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Jones has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Puder avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Puder swings wildly with an uppercut but Jones uses good head movement to avoid it.

Puder is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Jones is defending well for now.

Puder is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jones is surviving well by controlling Puder's body position as best he can.
Jones's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Poor strikes thrown by Puder there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Puder is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jones can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Jones has gone for a leg lock! Puder slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jones's guard.

Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Puder doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Puder manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
