The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gray darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Gray is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gray is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hearty sees it coming and defends easily.

Gray quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Gray but it's paid off an Hearty is forced to tap! Nice work by Gray.
